Getting ready for Artaserse

Casual talk, banter, and fun. Picture yourself with a glass of champagne in your hand, waiting for Act III to begin.

Sometimes we see inhouse recordings of performances which is what I expected. Didn't notice the post date on the TodOpera link.

Premiere was on 02. Nov, and unless they recorded a rehearsal it is impossible to have an earlier recording then. ;)

It seems to have been great, from what I've heard, and seen already. I'm sure LetMeWeep will upload all of it, eventually, as soon as she fixed some technical issues like getting the ratio right.

Here's Artaserse's aria, "Rendimi il caro amico," ...

Here's Fagioli's "Vo solcando":

I'm sure there will be more soon. Here's an interview with PJ that was done some time before that was broadcast during the break:

If I heard correctly in the interview, it seems that PD will be taking a vacation until September 2013 to do other things than sing and to work on technique. Quite a long break.

He will! And, yes and no, I think it may be a good decision, and I hope he'll have some fun ;)
