The Foyer

Poetry?

Casual talk, banter, and fun. Picture yourself with a glass of champagne in your hand, waiting for Act III to begin.

:D Oh, and hey, you can officially count yourself into the chosen circle of scientists who had a fruit-like object dropped on their head. So, Mr Bunny-Newton, but the picture is perfect as it is.

You should have a foreground, which the railing provides, a middle and a background. (Okay, at TV they overdo it, I remember holding loose branches and flowers into the rim of the picture or even strapping them to the boom :D) Anyhow, if you stepped back, the picture would have lost depth. The colours and light is great, too.

Oh, Biri could post some of her pictures as well!

My translation can be horrible but never as much as the one done by GOOGLE! Here my humble translation:

The yard

With evening
two or three tired yards' colors.
Tonight, the moon, clear circle,
does not dominate its space.
Yard conduit of Heaven.
The yard is the slope
by which the sky flows into the house.
Serene
eternity waits at the crossroads of stars.
Pleasing is live in friendship dark
a porch, arbor, and a cistern.

Nice poem and here a pic:

Not a backyard of a spanish house but ... well.

!!!!!!!! Alright. Fate, I got you. No need to stress it.

I rarely take pictures of landscapes or nature in general, but there I found one. The apocalypse is happening! And right above our heads too! I took this picture to inform my priest via facebook, who replied that the Four Horsemen where over at him for dinner, if I remember correctly.

Biri, it seems that your translation is not that different from my English translation from Chinese :D

"Yard, conduit of Heaven.
The yard is the slope
through which the sky flows into the house.
Serene
eternity waits at the crossroads of stars."

What a vision! Our earth is actually among the starry sky, to which you now feel so close. Well I couldn't express better than the original poem. I wish Philippe could read it!

I saw such clouds the night before the earthquake of Wenchuan... And I remember commenting to my friend: how strange the sky looks!

Hmm, this was at 6 or 7 am and the closest what I've seen of Lankin's - to call it somehow - sky:

Nothing special happened that day... at least not on this island.

0.o *Sob ... I notice the tiny difference, by the way, between a crappy picture and a great one. I feel somewhat humbled by the company ... Do you mind if I stick around yet a little?
