I did not know of this one. He is a rockstar! And so high! What are those vocal chords made of: rubber bands? I can follow most of what PJ does, but this is waaaaay to high for me.

PJ did a good thing, by getting the countertenor voice type out of image of something of an oddity, something only very weird men would sing, out to the general public. It paved the way for young cool guys to be a countertenor and being outrageous.

Now, PJ is not outrageous of course, and he never was one of the cool dudes, but he does have a certain charming way about him, so he kind of made it acceptable for a large audience who had prejudices before him, against both the voice type and the repertoire. He took baroque out of the "boring" corner of the arena.
